Some Christmas Fairy cards

Saturday evening,

Yesterday I made a few cards for some of my youngest's female class mates. I used my own Christmas Fairy digistamp that I had made especially for this occasion. Hope you like it.

This set of cards also fits in with this week's 'Making Cards For Christmas Club' at Trimcraft, which was started to get us all a little more organised in getting our Christmas cards sorted by Eileen, aka Eiglas. This week we are supposed to make cards that use none of the traditional Christmas colours.

So here they are:

First one I have named 'Blue Christmas Fairy'.

This is 'Orange Christmas Fairy'.

And here is Pink Christmas Fairy.

Purple Christmas Fairy.

And Yellow Christmas Fairy.

Last but not least another Pink Fairy.

Hope you like them, you can find the image I used for these cards here. It is one of my own digistamps. Feel free to use it if you like for personal use only and please leave the signature on.

Thank you all for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Love,

Jo.

CRAFT Challenge 27, Christmas Gifts

Hello again everyone.

It's time for challenge 27 at CRAFT Challenge. Only a few more weeks till Christmas, have you all finished your Christmas cards and gifts yet?
I've still quite a lot of cards to sort before then, need about 200 and only have 75 so far.

But now to the order of the week, at CRAFT Challenge this week's challenge is to make a Christmas gift. That should get our creative juices flowing, I would think.

Our sponsor this week is our very own Eileen, aka Eiglas and she is donating a set of sentiment stamps.

Well here is my project for this challenge. It was a bit of a rush as I did not quite have a lot of time to do it in and nearly didn't manage to finish it in time, oops! Therefore made a quick candle just in case.

The candle is for my sister and brother-in-law and the little story book is for my nephew and niece. This is using a storybook template and stamps from The Crafty Pad.
I used some Anita stamps for the candle.

Now for some images of the story book.

To make this little book I had to translate the text to Dutch as they are Dutch (like me). I had at an earlier time already stamped all the images and scanned them to allow me to resize them for whatever project I would want to use them for. I did however still need to pixel clean the scanned images.

Instead of using papers and put a card with stamp on it, I used scanned Forever Friends and Papermania Christmas papers that I resized to fit A5 card and superimposed the stamps or the text on that.

All that was then needed was to print it out, cut to size, colour the stamps and laminate to keep them as good as possible. This way it will also be possible to wipe the pages clean. Not a bad idea with a 1 and a 3 year old!

Next the pages were again cut to size and I used a binding machine to punch the holes and bind the little book.

Hope you like it (and more importantly they do). Thank you all for looking, all comments are very welcome and much appreciated.

Hope to see you all at CRAFT Challenge this week.

Love,

Jo.

Crafty Pad Challenge 46

Here is another last minute entry to the Crafty Pad challenge for this week. This is one that I made with one of Debbie's great stamps, no actually it's 2 of her great stamps. I also am putting this one in for challenge one at Lexi's creations.

Hope you like it. It is one of the 35 cards I managed to make for Christmas this week.

I really love this card. A great way to use some of the gift ribbon I bought at Aldi 2 years ago.

Thanks for looking. All comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Jo.

Another Christmas Challenge card.

Good afternoon all,

Here is another Christmas card for me, this makes a grand total of 31 for this year. I agree, not very many and I really need to get my skates on as I will need to have around 180 in total. Well this one is for 2 challenges at least.

The first one is Inspirational Card Sketches, the sketch obviously needed to be rotated a little to fit this type of card. And the second is a new Challenge Blog, called Lexi's Creations. Lexi makes some fabulous digistamps and it is certainly worth checking out her blog.

Hope you like the card, I must admit I love how it has turned out.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Sympathy card.

Hello everyone,

Here is something that I hope you don't have to make often. In this case we heard a week ago that my mum in laws brother had been shot (and killed) while working in Nigeria. So, it was time to let my in-laws know we were thinking of them.

I had not yet had a chance to upload this card, but noticing that Simon Says has 'Thinking of You' as the subject, seems like an ideal time to upload it now.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.
