Challenge 4 at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge, a shopping list.

Time for challenge 4 at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge. You can find my DT entry below and I hope you like it.

The brief for challenge 4 was a shopping list:

Use 3 flowers, 2 papers and 1 ribbon.

I believe this card fits the bill.

For this card I used a yellow square base card and 2 free papers from Arty Miss and from Cardmaking World.

The 3 flowers I managed to quickly dry from flowers in our own garden over the last week and a half. Not easy to use real flowers, but a nice effect after all.

I also used a Penny Black stamp, scanned and then cut out in several stages to make it into 3D decoupage.

A ribbon was tied on the bottom of the top layer paper.

Then the last touch: the sentiment, a Happy Birthday peel off. Hope you like my take on the brief, I'm quite pleased with the result and I hope my cousin will be pleased when she receives it next month.

2 views of the card to show the 3 D elements of the stamped image and of the dried flowers as well as the ribbon.

A view of the dried flowers as a close-up.

A close-up of the 3 D stamped image.

I believe this card also fits in well with the challenge at Honeypot Crafts where the challenge was as shown below and I therefore intend to enter it in the challenge there as well. Hope Phill likes it.

The brief here was:

Specifications

These are the only specifications for this challenge.

1. Use a Square Card (done)

2. Use any of the Penny Black Stamp Range (done)

3. If you come to my classes, don’t use a shape/style we have already done! (not applicable)

4. Use ribbons/fibres (done)

5. Use matting and layering styles (done)

6. Use bright, spring colours (done)

7. Don’t use your Die Cutting machines (not used, used cutter instead)

8. You can use punches (done, corner rounder)

9. Put the kettle on when you finish your card….you will have earned it! (oops, forgot)

That’s it!

The dead line for this challenge is the 15th of June.

Just as a little extra, I have entered the 3D image as I have used it, I printed and cut the image myself, then stuck it onto an A5 sheet and scanned it (just so that life is easier if I want to use this image again). Feel free to use it, but only for your personal use!!

Thank you all for looking. All comments are very welcome and very much appreciated. It's the end now of a very productive Sunday (although this post won't be published until Thursday) as I have also finished my DT entry for week 5 at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge.

Love,

Jo.
