Happy Valentines Day!

Hello everyone,

Valentines Day today. Hope you are having a good one. Here is the actual Valentines Day Card I made my other half. The others were just for fun. Hope you like it.

For this card, I have used my own digistamp, created especially for the occasion. You can find it here on my sister blog 'Trimgym's digistamps and images'. Feel free to use it for your personal use, all the digistamps, backgrounds and 3D decoupage sheets I have put on there are available free to download for your personal use only. Please leave a comment when you download any, I would love to hear from you and would also love to see any projects you make using my images.

Now here is the card I made my hubby and best friend. I believe he liked it.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.

First Parchment card, Simon Says Stamp Challenge and DT call.

Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying your Saturday.

I have managed to make a card for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge for this week, which is also part of a challenge/learn a new craft at Trimcraft. This week at Simon Says Stamp, it is 'Punch It', I have used an embossing corner punch for the corners of this card. At Trimcraft one of my fellow members is trying to teach us how to do parchment craft and this is my first attempt at it. Not bad for a first time I think. Not as difficult as I thought it would be and real fun as well. I am also entering it in the 'Punch It' challenge at Creative Card Crew.

I followed a free pattern and instructions, which are available here.

Hope you like it, it is certainly something I am going to try again.

The first image gives you a full image of the card, the second a detail of the corner of the parcment with a detail of the punched and embossed area.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.

Brother-in-law's birthday card and a few challenges.

Good afternoon all,

A nice wet Saturday over here, cold and windy. Just back from taking youngest to birthday party.

This morning I finished a birthday card for my brother-in-law, who lives in America. He is a manager in a large company and has very little time for hobbies. It is therefore difficult to find something to suit his interests.

This year, I created a digistamp especially with him in mind. I hope you like it.

Feel free to use the stamp if you like it, but please only use for personal use and leave the signature on when you use it.

And here are some more images of the card. The image has been coloured in using watercolour pencils.

The used background papers are from Funky Fairies I believe and the other one is my own one, scanned autumnleaves.

In case you are wondering, the white rectangles on the cards are the name plates. I have removed the name of my brother in law from it for privacy reasons. You could use this space to put the name of the intended birthday person as well.

I hope you like it (and most of all my brother in law does).

This card will also be entered in the following challenges:

1. Stamp Something, Sketch Something. I have used there sketch and adapted it a bit to fit better with the shape of the card and the image.

2. A Spoonfull of Sugarchallenge 77, Create a Scene. I believe my digistamp fits that bill well enough.

3. SPCC, there colourcombo this week is melon mambo, basic black, yoyo yellow and not quite navy. You should be able to find these colours somewhere in either the background papers or on the coloured in stamp.

4. Pile it on Challenge 23, Fall Challenge. For this challenge you needed to use one or more leaves. I have used autumnleaves scanned in to create the backing paper.

and

5. Trimcraft Challenge 37, Lots of Dots. The backing paper is quite dotty I believe.

I knew there was one missing...

Last but certainly not least, I also want to enter this one in Whimsy Stamps Challenge 27, watercolors. This one asks us to use watercolours in our card. I used watercolour pencils to colour in my digistamp. Sorry ladies, haven't got any Whimsy Stamps yet. May be in with winning some at some stage maybe?

Thank you all for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.

CRAFT Challenge 25, a recipe.

Thursday again!

That means it's time for another challenge at CRAFT Challenge. This week the challenge is to use 1 tag, 1 ribbon and 1 sentiment in your project.

Our sponsor this week is Donnas Den banner.

The prize for this week is shown here:

challenge25 challenge25 challenge25

I'm sure you'll agree it is well worth a try at taking part in our challenge and possibly win this gorgeous prize.

Over now to my project for this week. Although it is a fairly simple card, I'm very proud of it. I am not much good at drawing, but I still managed to draw a TigerSanta having my daughter Tigerlover and my mum-in-law in mind while drawing it. They are both mad about tigers.

I used this image already for an earlier card, but for the current card I have made this into a 3D decoupage image. So here are some further pictures of it. Hope you like it.

Here is the decoupage image I used. Hope you like it.

It has also been entered in Creative Inspirations Challenge (TigerSanta is a coloured in doodle made into a decoupage image), Cupcake Challenge, Fabs Big Christmas Cards Challenge and Whimsy Stamps Challenge.

Thank you all for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated. Looking forward to seeing your interpretation of this challenge.

Have a good weekend!

Love,

Jo.

TigerSanta, another new blue Christmas card.

Evening all.

I will just quickly add another blue Christmas card I made yesterday. This one is using one of my own digistamps. Although I consider myself to be no good at drawing, I'm quite pleased with how this one has turned out.

I made this one with my daughter (Tigerlover) and with my mum-in-law in mind as they both are absolutely mad about tigers. Hope you like it.

The card is just a quickie, but I hope you like it anyway.

And here is a copy of the digistamp on my sister blog Trimgym's digistamps and images.

Hope you like the card and stamp. It has also been entered in Creative Inspirations Challenge, Cupcake Challenge, Fabs Big Christmas Cards Challenge and Whimsy Stamps Challenge.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Jo.

Seventh card of Friday, 'Thank you for teaching'

The last card of a rather busy day crafting yesterday. This one is for a few challenges and is a card made for one of the teachers at my kids' school. I found the cute hegehog image on the net, ready to be coloured in.

Following colouring in the image using watercolour pencils, I scanned it and printed it off 8 times to form different layers to form a 3D image. This was stuck onto a purple piece of card cut out with nestibilities scalloped rectangle. A circle was cut out from purple paper already embossed with raindrops beforehand and a Thank you peel off was stuck onto this. I printed off some spotty paper, a download from Funky Fairies, and made this into a small paper ribbon. I then stuck a little bow onto it to finish off the card.
Finally I added some little gems on the left side of the card.
The sketch was from Cupcake Challenge.
This card is therefore intended for the following challenges:

When I initially did the card I forgot to put the little gems in place, these were added afterwards, the card before this minor transformation is shown below.

Hope you like my card.
Thank you for looking,
all comments are very welcome and much appreciated.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Love,
Jo.

Today's card1, 'Miss You'

A busy and productive day today.

I managed to make a total of 7 cards in between the school runs, no more time for today anymore I'm afraid. Soon will need to go to karate training and then it's time for bed near enough.

For this card I used the following challenges for inspiration:

1. Sketch Saturday , the sketch
2. Penny Black Challenge , the stamp and the purple strip is embossed with raindrops
3. Secret Crafter Saturday , pink and green
4. Our Creative Corner , stars
5. Pile it on , purple
6. Creative Card Crew , weather (raindrops embossed on purple)
7. Papertake Weekly , the background paper underneath the 2 rectangles is a download.

I hope you like my card, I coloured the stamped image with chalks, put it onto green card cut with nestibilities.

The purple strip of paper underneath has been embossed with raindrops (fiskars).

Added a 'Miss You' sentiment, 3 stars on each side at the top, and ready.

As usual all comments are very welcome and very much appreciated.
Thank you for looking!
Love ,
Jo.

Thank you card for challenges.

Hello again!

Third entry on my blog today already and one of the cards I made today with a few things in mind. No. 1, the kids will soon be needing some thank you cards for their teachers.

There were also some challenges I was hoping to enter into.

Here is the card, using a sketch from Sketch Saturday, Roses for the ABC Challenge, Thank you with some free Funky Fairies papers for their challenge, triangles for the challenge at Allsorts, it also fits with the colours this week at Colour Create and with the Simon says challenge and with Paperblooms as well. Also with the Creative Card Crew challenge (geometric patterns). It could even fit the pink elephannt inspirational play along. And as it is 'up to you' at Lots to do it also fits there. I wonder if that is a record. It is for me I guess.

Well here is the card:

I am going to enter this card into these challenges:
So, that is my offering. Hope you like it. I think it's a really cute card.
Thanks for looking, any comments are welcome and appreciated.
Love,
Jo.
