Crafty Pad Challenge card with parchment.

Good evening everyone.

I did it. But only just. I wanted to make some time this week to make a card for the Crafty Pad challenge. So, after the ironing was finally out of the way this afternoon, I started on a card. For this I used my newly found hobby of parchment crafting. It wasn't easy to find a circular design to fit in with the sketch Debbie asked to follow, but I did. Just put one of her stamps in the middle of it and then started to emboss and colour it.

Hope you like it and Debbie likes what I have done with her stamp. Belinda, the flowers, even the butterfly and the grass have been embossed, it does however not show very well in the pictures.

Thanks for looking. All comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.

Challenge 35 at CRAFT Challenge, Paperpiecing.

Morning all on this Thursday morning!

It is time for another challenge at CRAFT Challenge. This week we want you to make a project using Paperpiecing. If you don't know how to do that or if you would like some further instructions on this, please have a look on our blog for a tutorial by our very own DT member, Julie. It is very easy to follow.

Now on to my project for this week. I have actually done 2 cards, the first is a card using my own image of a pirate with treasurechest and is some digital paperpiecing. The second is proper paperpiecing of a lovely stamp by one of our fellow DT members Claire, a cat playing with a ball, mounted onto parchment. I enjoyed the first parchment card I did so much, I decided to use it for this card as well. Hope you like it.

Our sponsor this week, is our very own and very talented Claire from Shophandmade.

So, now for a closer look at the cards, first the card on parchment.

And now the digital paperpiecing. Hope you like the image, it can be found on my sister blog, 'Trimgym's digistamps and images', here. It is free for download, but leave my signature on, do not claim as your own and for personal use only.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated. Looking forward to seeing you at CRAFT Challenge again this week.

Love,

Jo.

First Christmas card of 2010. Promised myself to start earlier this year.

Good afternoon everyone,

I have just been playing a bit again and made a total of 5 Christmas cards, quickies really, the first ones of 2010.

Here is my first one. A blue basecard with 2 punched shapes (scalloped rectangle and circle nestibilities) and a 3D decoupage image mounted onto one of them. A cute cat sleeping under a lamp. I found this cute image at Monica's 3D sheets. Here are a few views of the card, with a close up of the 3D image at the end.

Hope you like the card, it is very simple, but the image is really cute.

I would like to enter this card for the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Challenge 'Punch It'

Christmas Cards All Year Round 'Any 5 Christmas cards', this is the first one of the five, done today (Monday 25th January 2010)

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

My second parchment card.

Evening everyone,

I have just finished my second parchment card today. This was set as a challenge/task on trimcraft by one of our fellow members, who is trying to teach us how to do parchment craft. I must say, I'm in danger of getting hooked. For this card I used a free pattern from here. It is meant for a gatefold card, but I felt it was a bit of a waste of good parchment and therefore used it as the front cover of A4 card. For the centre I used a digistamp from my fellow DT member Magda on CRAFT Challenge. Hope you like it.

I think that will be enough views of the card. Hope you like it. Thank you for looking, any comments are very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.
