Saturday's last card, 'Tennis'

And the fifth card for today is here. This one is using the sketch from Funky Fairies. Hope you like it.

For this card I used a blue square card blank, added a blue spotty ribbon and a large scalloped and classic circle (nestibility diecut). The yellow scalloped circle is made from handmade paper that is finally starting to come in handy as I bought it a few years ago as a big pack thinking I could use it )but never did much, oops!). The stripy paper circle is from a free download. The blue circles on top of the big circles are from some of my own background papers, you can find them earlier on my blog. The last 2 circles carrying the Happy Birthday peel offs are a free download from Funky Fairies.

Last, but not least there is a 3D decoupage image on top of the central circles.

Hope you like it, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.

Challenge card for the Crafty Pad, 4th card this Saturday.

Another card made today to follow below. This one is a card made for the challenge at The Crafty Pad, the brief was a recipe, 2 circles, 1 rectangle, 3 brads or eyelets and some torn paper.

It also fits the challenge at My Time to Craft Challenge, which was 'in the garden'.

I hope you like my interpretation of both. Again it also fits in with the challenge at Pile it on Challenge. (like another few of the cards made over the last 2 days).

For this card, I used a Teddy with flower stamped imaged coloured in with watercolour pencils (the same I scanned and printed for multiple layers for a 3D image last week) from The Crafty Pad. I understand that Debbie is bringing some more stamps out this weekend as well, this is well worth a look on her blog as her stamps are fabulous. This was stuck onto 2 circles of handmade paper, one white with flower leaves and one purple and scalloped, both diecut with nestibilities. This was overlapping a scalloped rectangle of red handmade paper (another nestibility) embellished with 3 mini brads and a piece of blue torn handmade paper that carried the sentiment, a Happy Birthday peel off.

I like this card quite well and hope you will agree.

Third card on Saturday, 'Lady with Flower'

Another busy day, here is my third card made today. I really enjoyed myself getting ready for the fair in about a week's time. Just a few more cards to do and then I can start preparing some bags of diecut cardtoppers to sell at the fair. All proceeds obviously going to the school funds. They are still needing to pay back a lot of money following the recent extensions to the building.

For this card I used a sketch from Moving along with the times, this is a new challenge blog and they have their first challenge this week. As it uses downloads as well (the Lily Pickle 3D image), it also fits in with the Papertake Weekly delightful downloads challenge this week. The purple handmade paper used for the flower also makes it fit in with the challenge at Pile it on challenge.

For this challenge I used the 3D image mentioned earlier, a card diecut with scalloped rectangle from nestibilities, a Happy Birthday sentiment and a flower made using handmade paper and diecut with flower die from sizzix. It was great fun making this card.

Card 2 on Saturday, 'The golfer'

Here is my second card for today. This one uses the sketch from The Sweet Stop Saturday Sketches Challenge. Another one that also fits in with the download theme at Papertake Weekly and will therefore also be entered into that challenge. I guess that will make about 5 there now.
For this card I used a download 3D decoupage image from The Lilac Garden, some handmade paper for the diecuts, a stripy download background and some strips of background paper from Funky Fairies. A fairly simple male birthday card. Hope you like it.

Card 1 of Saturday, 'Basketball'

Good evening! It's time to start uploading some of the cards I made today. I had a lot of fun looking through several sketches I found on challenges over the last few days and used them to make some cards for the fair again. My total now stands at 21 and I had thought to make a minimum of 25. Not many to go in that case and if there is any time left I can always make some more difficult cards as well.

This card is using a sketch from Friday Sketchers and I will put it in to that challenge as well.

As I used quite some downloads, I will also put it into the Papertake Weekly delightful downloads challenge.

The 3D decoupage image is from The Lilac Garden, she has some great images on her site free to download for your own use. I used nestibilities to cut out the classic oval out of some textured handmade paper (a bulk buy some years ago). Then used some flower dies from sizzix to make the little flowers adding a little flower brad to form the heart of the flower. The 2 background papers are a free download from Funky Fairies. Hope you like it.

Seventh card of Friday, 'Thank you for teaching'

The last card of a rather busy day crafting yesterday. This one is for a few challenges and is a card made for one of the teachers at my kids' school. I found the cute hegehog image on the net, ready to be coloured in.

Following colouring in the image using watercolour pencils, I scanned it and printed it off 8 times to form different layers to form a 3D image. This was stuck onto a purple piece of card cut out with nestibilities scalloped rectangle. A circle was cut out from purple paper already embossed with raindrops beforehand and a Thank you peel off was stuck onto this. I printed off some spotty paper, a download from Funky Fairies, and made this into a small paper ribbon. I then stuck a little bow onto it to finish off the card.

Finally I added some little gems on the left side of the card.

The sketch was from Cupcake Challenge.

This card is therefore intended for the following challenges:

6th card of Friday, 'My hat!'

This is a card I made using 2 background papers, one from an old Making Cards Magazine and one a free download from Funky Fairies. I also use a cute 3D decoupage image I found on the net. I believe they work very well together.


Hope you like it, it is one of the cards I have made for the sale at the school summer fair.

5th card of Friday, 'Quote'

This is a card I made with the current challenge at Trimcraft in mind. They wanted something featuring a quote. Not an easy task at all really as I don't have many quotes and finding one that fits with an image I have as well as fitting on a card with it is certainly a challenge.

I think this one has worked out quite well though.

For this card I used a simple card blank, added 3 pieces of coloured card cut with nestibilities. I then added the sentiment to the pink card and popped the 3D decoupage image onto the light pink one.

Hope you like the card as well. It will be going into the sale at the school summer fair. I don't mind if it doesn't sell, I can always give it to my hubby, right?

4th card of Friday, 'Hockeygirl'

This is another card I made yesterday. For this card I used a sketch from Verve challenge for yesterday, found it worked quite well with another card I made and just put the rectangles in another direction to fit this image. Hope you like it, it should fit well for any teenage girl with sporting interests.

This card also fits in with the challenge at Papertake Weekly Challenge, where it's all about

using downloads in your projects this week. The background papers have been downloaded (including the circle which uses a background from Funky Fairies like the swirly background) and the 3D decoupage image has been downloaded from The Lilac Garden.

3rd card of Friday

Time to upload some more of my cards done yesterday and here is the first one. This is a card using a sketch from The Sweet Stop Saturday challenge.

It looks like I may just have missed this one as it appears to be a challenge running every Saturday and not every Sunday as I thought.

I also feel this card fits in with the challenge at Stamptacular , where the brief is red, blue, white and a star. Too late as well for the challenge at Our creative corner as both finished earlier today. Just didn't have enough time to upload my cards to my blog last night. What a pity!

Hope you like the card, it has been made using some downloaded papers as well as a downloaded 3D decoupage image (from the Lilac Garden). A good boy's birthday card, I would think. It will be going into the sale at the school summer fair.

Another challenge card, 'Special Wishes'.

Hello, just a quick upload of another new card for a challenge. This time using a sketch from 2 sketches 4 you. Hope you like it.

With the exception of the 'no embellishments' in the brief and the absence of a stamped image in my card, it also fits with the stamp with us challenge and as all papers and the 3D decoupage image have been downloaded, it also fits with the Papertake Weekly challenge.


For this card I used a cute decoupage image I found on the net, several papers from Funky Fairies, some holographic film and a bit of white card to mount the sentiment on. The blue circle underneath the image is made of card.

Today's card1, 'Miss You'

A busy and productive day today.

I managed to make a total of 7 cards in between the school runs, no more time for today anymore I'm afraid. Soon will need to go to karate training and then it's time for bed near enough.

For this card I used the following challenges for inspiration:

1. Sketch Saturday , the sketch
2. Penny Black Challenge , the stamp and the purple strip is embossed with raindrops

I hope you like my card, I coloured the stamped image with chalks, put it onto green card cut with nestibilities.

The purple strip of paper underneath has been embossed with raindrops (fiskars).

Added a 'Miss You' sentiment, 3 stars on each side at the top, and ready.

Verve/Mojo Monday entry card and for Incy Wincy designs.

Here is a card I quickly put together this morning as I was lucky enough to have the morning off. Will soon need to go to work though. This card has been made with 3 challenges in mind.

The first one is Mojo Monday, where the sketch comes from.

They have combined the sketch with a challenge on Verve, where they have 5 sketches for cards to be made by tomorrow to be in with winning a massive prize.

The third challenge in mind is from Incy Wincy where the brief is 'red and white with a hint of black'. I thought this would work well with this sketch and 3D decoupage image from Lily Pickle.

Unfortunately the redness of the image looks more pink on the photo's, but it certainly is red.

Challenge 6 at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge, Inspiration picture.

Good morning all. It's time for the sixth challenge at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge already.


This time we have an inspiration picture for you, a 'thank you teacher' project. As I have 4 kids, there are always plenty of those that need doing at the end of the school year. Hope you like the one I have chosen and made for this challenge. I just think this image is soooo very cute.




To make this card, I used a pearlescent pink base card, added some rose background paper from an old issue of Making Cards magazine, then added a free background paper from Funky Fairies (for the link, see the side banner of my blog). I found the 3D image on the net somewhere (photobucket, I believe) and just wanted to have it for this card. I guess it would do well for a birthday card as well, so may do something similar for some of the cards I need to make for the school summer fayre.

Fourth card of the night, guitar girl

Last card for tonight using a Verve sketch. I wasn't quite sure it was going to work, but this colour of basecard looks quite good with it after all. I have used a decoupage image from the Lilac Garden for this card as well as a ribbon (only just visible) and a little bow, a triangle cut to size and a classic and scalloped circle using nestibilities.

Hope you like this birthday card that will be used for the school summer fayre as well.
