Allsorts Challenge and DT call card.

Hello everyone,

Here is a card that I made today for the Allsorts Challenge and DT call. Hope they liked it. For this challenge the brief was to follow a sketch, unfortunately I did not quite have the right size of square card for this image. I therefore had to adapt it slightly to fit an A4 card. Hope they don't mind. It's also one of the cards I have already made for Christmas this year. The image is from David Tunis, the papers from Funky Fairies and A Scrap Away. Hope you like them and the card I made with them.

The first image is of the card, before I noticed it was missing some embellishments, however, it does show the sketch a little better.

Thanks for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated. Hope they like my card, there are quite a few more cards to look at on my blog if you like.

I guess it's now time to tidy up again and get things sorted for school run and swimming lessons.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Love,

Jo.

CRAFT Challenge 32, Resist Technique.

Morning everyone, time for the first CRAFT Challenge challenge of 2010, our 33rd weekand 32nd challenge. This week we want you to try a special technique in your card. I must admit I found it quite tricky, but I'm not really one for waiting patiently to let ink dry. The easiest way for me seemed to be with using brush markers rather than ink pads, less messy as well.

Well, here is my contribution for this week, a birthday card for my sister, who celebrates her birthday on Saturday. Hope she has a fabulous day.

The sketch I have used is from this week's Allsorts Challenge, I liked it and thought I would kill two birds with one stone (not the one in the image LOL) so to speak. This card is therefore also entered in the Allsorts Challenge.

Thank you for looking, hope you will join us at CRAFT Challenge again this week and have a great weekend.

Our sponsor this week is Your special delivery.

All comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.

CRAFT Challenge 17,Colour combo pink and brown.

Good morning all,

It's time for Challenge 17 at CRAFT Challenge this week. You can see my DT entry next to this. One of my first Christmas cards this year. You can see how I made it below.

This challenge is sponsored by Just Tracy banner , who will be putting the prize up for this challenge. She is offering these lovely prizes for the winner of this week's challenge (drawn by random organiser):

prize17,1prize17,2prize17,3prize17,4prize17,5

To make the card you will need a square pink card (13.5x13.5 cm).

Next print of some lovely free backing paper from the 'Merry Christmas Everyone' range from Funky Fairies, cut them to size (10x10cm pink and 10x3.5cm brown) and attach the brown on top of the pink.

Stick this piece of backing paper to the square card:

Stamp the lovely Teddy on ball stamp from The Crafty Pad on some pink holographic paper and carefully cut it out.

Then also stamp it onto some brown handmade paper and cut it out.

Following that also cut off the ball of the picture.

Stick the brown bear on top of the holographic picture and you get the image above.

Then stick it onto some of the pink backingpaper cut out to a circle with nestibilities.

Add a brown rectangle and add the circle to get the next picture.

Add some sparkly stars and the card is nearly finished. Now all that is needed is the sentiment (this time I made it: Teddy found it hard work to decorate the Christmas Tree) printed onto pink rectangle of card, layer onto a rectangle of holographic silver paper with stars and add to the card.

Done!
Hope you like the card. I love it. I'm also going to enter it in 2 other challenges as well as it being my DT entry for CRAFT Challenge.
1. The Crafty Pad where the challenge this week is to Let's see some Christmas sparkle and ribbon.
2. Allsorts Challenge from which I used the sketch.
Thank you for looking, all comments are very welcome and much appreciated. Hope you are all well and will be joining us in this pink and brown challenge.
Love,
Jo.

Card for Mojo Monday challenge.

Hello all,

I managed to make 2 cards today, one for Mojo Monday, ABC Challenge and for Allsorts, the other for a challenge on Trimcraft (Leeanne's sketch). Will probably only be able to upload one of them tonight, so here is the first card. It is also my first (possibly second) card for the school summer fayre. Hope you like it. I quite like the quite image on the front a lovely 3D decoupage image I found.
For this card, I have used the sketch from Mojo Monday.
I feel it has a summery feel to it to fit with S is for Summer at ABC Challenge.
I also feel it fits in with the wings challenge at Allsorts Challenge blog.
Hope you all like it, I think it is a cute card, that I might very well use myself if it isn't sold.
Thanks for looking, all comments are very welcome and much appreciated as always.
Love,
Jo.

Thank you card for challenges.

Hello again!

Third entry on my blog today already and one of the cards I made today with a few things in mind. No. 1, the kids will soon be needing some thank you cards for their teachers.

There were also some challenges I was hoping to enter into.

Here is the card, using a sketch from Sketch Saturday, Roses for the ABC Challenge, Thank you with some free Funky Fairies papers for their challenge, triangles for the challenge at Allsorts, it also fits with the colours this week at Colour Create and with the Simon says challenge and with Paperblooms as well. Also with the Creative Card Crew challenge (geometric patterns). It could even fit the pink elephannt inspirational play along. And as it is 'up to you' at Lots to do it also fits there. I wonder if that is a record. It is for me I guess.

Well here is the card:

I am going to enter this card into these challenges:
So, that is my offering. Hope you like it. I think it's a really cute card.
Thanks for looking, any comments are welcome and appreciated.
Love,
Jo.

Birthday card and combined challenge card

Hello everyone,

Today I quickly made a card for one of my youngest class mates. She is having her

birthday party tomorrow and we received the invite earlier this week. Although she will only be 6 on her birthday, I think she will probably like the image I have chosen. The background papers I'm not really sure about, probably more suitable for someone a little bit older.

I have used a garden fairy decoupage image layered onto 3 different Funky Fairies papers. 2 from the swirly range, pink and brown and one from the birds range, a turquoise one. The papers have been die cut using scalloped edged rectangle nestibilities and classic oval nestibilities in my Big Shot.

I therefore believe this cards fits in with several challenges.

1. Allsorts Challenge blog , the challenge there is 'Curly Swirly' and I feel it is fit for purpose with the swirls papers.

2. Charisma Cardz Thursday Challenge where the challenge is a colour combo pink/brown. I feel it fits the bill there as well.

3. Cute Card Thursday, the challenge is to 'A Nip and a Punch'. You need to use your punches or die cuts, I made some diecut pieces of paper to mount the image on, so feel it fits this challenge as well.

4. Shapes and More where the challenge is to use scrolls/swirls in your card, fits again.

5. Creative Card Crew Challenge, where the brief is child's play, a kid's card.

6. And last, but not least I'm also entering it in Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge, where the challenge is Pink, Turquoise and a hint of brown, and this card fits the bill there as well.

Hope you all like the card and of course especially the birthday girl. All comments are very welcome and very much appreciated. Thank you for looking.

Love,

Jo.
