CRAFT Challenge 55, another Ei sketch

Morning all, another Thursday another challenge at CRAFT Challenge. This week we have another sketch for you to follow, provided by our very own Eileen. Something slightly different this time, a DL format. Hope you like it. Our sponsor for this week is our very own Claire aka Hope Jacare and some of us (including me) have used one of her gorgeous doodles. You could even be in with a chance of winning this one. It is called 'Mouse House', a name that kind of has a special meaning to our family. When we first moved into this area, we temporarily were placed in coucil accommodation while looking for a suitable house to buy. There was just one little problem with it,we had uninvited guests. You guess it....mice. You would sit quietly watching telly or reading a book in the living room and a mouse or two would run by. You would open a kitchen cupboard and 2 beady eyes would be looking at you. Soup packets would be nibbled at, biscuits went missing only crumbs left. Well, you get the picture.

So, when I saw this gorgeous picture by Claire, it brought some memories back and I just had to use it.

The papers are from the new 'Tell my Story' kit by Toucan Scraps, you can find this and other gorgeous kits at her shop at 3scrapateers. She also has a shop at Stitchy Bear Stamps as well (just as Claire has).

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated. Have a great weekend.

Love,

Jo.

Brother-in-law's birthday card and a few challenges.

Good afternoon all,

A nice wet Saturday over here, cold and windy. Just back from taking youngest to birthday party.

This morning I finished a birthday card for my brother-in-law, who lives in America. He is a manager in a large company and has very little time for hobbies. It is therefore difficult to find something to suit his interests.

This year, I created a digistamp especially with him in mind. I hope you like it.

Feel free to use the stamp if you like it, but please only use for personal use and leave the signature on when you use it.

And here are some more images of the card. The image has been coloured in using watercolour pencils.

The used background papers are from Funky Fairies I believe and the other one is my own one, scanned autumnleaves.

In case you are wondering, the white rectangles on the cards are the name plates. I have removed the name of my brother in law from it for privacy reasons. You could use this space to put the name of the intended birthday person as well.

I hope you like it (and most of all my brother in law does).

This card will also be entered in the following challenges:

1. Stamp Something, Sketch Something. I have used there sketch and adapted it a bit to fit better with the shape of the card and the image.

2. A Spoonfull of Sugarchallenge 77, Create a Scene. I believe my digistamp fits that bill well enough.

3. SPCC, there colourcombo this week is melon mambo, basic black, yoyo yellow and not quite navy. You should be able to find these colours somewhere in either the background papers or on the coloured in stamp.

4. Pile it on Challenge 23, Fall Challenge. For this challenge you needed to use one or more leaves. I have used autumnleaves scanned in to create the backing paper.

and

5. Trimcraft Challenge 37, Lots of Dots. The backing paper is quite dotty I believe.

I knew there was one missing...

Last but certainly not least, I also want to enter this one in Whimsy Stamps Challenge 27, watercolors. This one asks us to use watercolours in our card. I used watercolour pencils to colour in my digistamp. Sorry ladies, haven't got any Whimsy Stamps yet. May be in with winning some at some stage maybe?

Thank you all for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.

Challenge card for Crafty Pad and a Spoonful of Sugar.

Good evening, a late entry this time. I only just managed to find a very little bit of time today to work on this card. I was planning to make a card for this week's Crafty Pad's challenge, a well done, congratulations or good luck card and here it is, using the sketch from this week's a Spoonful of Sugar challenge. I hope you like it.

For this card I used several free papers from Funky Fairies (and some other free papers), a ribbon and some flower embellishments. I also used a 'Just Teddy with flower' stamp from the Crafty Pad, coloured it in, scanned it and printed it off 8 times to form 7 layers for the image. Hope you like it. I certainly enjoyed all the stages, colouring with watercolour pencils and all.

I'm not sure who I am going to use this card for yet, I may even make it the first card for the craft stall at the school's summer fayre. That would then one of a possible 25 done.

Well, thank you all again for looking and all comments are very welcome again as usual.

Love,

Jo.
