First Parchment card, Simon Says Stamp Challenge and DT call.

Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying your Saturday.

I have managed to make a card for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge for this week, which is also part of a challenge/learn a new craft at Trimcraft. This week at Simon Says Stamp, it is 'Punch It', I have used an embossing corner punch for the corners of this card. At Trimcraft one of my fellow members is trying to teach us how to do parchment craft and this is my first attempt at it. Not bad for a first time I think. Not as difficult as I thought it would be and real fun as well. I am also entering it in the 'Punch It' challenge at Creative Card Crew.

I followed a free pattern and instructions, which are available here.

Hope you like it, it is certainly something I am going to try again.

The first image gives you a full image of the card, the second a detail of the corner of the parcment with a detail of the punched and embossed area.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.

Time for the next challenge again at CRAFT Challenge, this week we want you to make something with the colour scheme RED, so show us your projects. Simon Says Stamp Challenge and DT Call

Hello everyone,

I have just made a card for the Shabby Chic Challenge at Simon Says Stamp. I am also putting it in for their DT call. It's for one of my friends, who has her birthday at the end of the month. Hope she will like it as well.

As you may be aware, I am a DT member on CRAFT Challenge, a job I really love and actively try to take part in. I also tend to 'advertise' the challenges on the Trimcraft forum. At CRAFT Challenge we are always happy to get more sponsors on board. So if you are interested don't hesitate to let us know on our blog.
For this card I have used papers from Summertime Designs and Shabby Princess. The stamps are from Sarah Kay. Hope you like it.

Well, I think I have shown you enough views and details of this card, hope you like it.

I am also entering this card for ABC Challenge, layering.
Also at Allsorts Challenge, Brown and Pink.
Ooh-la-la-Challenge, create a scene.

All comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.

Have a great weekend!

Hello everyone on this Saturday afternoon.

Hope you are all well, I'm just quickly stopping by to see how everyone is. Today is our 11th wedding anniversary and I thought I would just show you a little preview of the card I've done. As it is also due to be a card used as my next DT entry for CRAFT Challenge, I can't reveal it totally today, or for that matter the brief for that one. I can tell you however that it is a card for which I have used one of my own digistamps, which will become available on my other blog on Thursday.

So here is the little preview:

Do stop by then to see the full card, the brief of the challenge and what will be up for grabs as well as the digistamp.

Love,

Jo.

Challenge 33 CRAFT Challenge, a sketch.

Hello everyone,

It's time for challenge 33 at CRAFT Challenge, this week we have a sketch for you.

Here is my card for this challenge and I hope you like it. The sketch is one provided by our very own Eileen, aka Eiglas and I think it's a great one.

I have also entered this card into the challenge at Ooh-la-la-Creations Challenge Blog, which is to create a scene this week, I believe my digistamp does create a scene quite well.

Hope you like my card, for this card (which I have sent to my eldest niece who loves rockclimbing), I created the image myself, which I have called 'Rockclimbing Girl'.
Hope you like it, if you do, feel free to grab it for your personal use, please do not claim it as your own and when you do use it please leave my signature on. You can find it here on my sisterblog Trimgym's digistamps and images

And here is the sketch we used for the card. Looking forward to seeing your interpretation of the sketch. We love visiting all your blogs and will leave comments whenever we are able to do so. Unfortunately some of the DT members have been poorly recently and some have had some family illnesses, which will have led to them having very little time to visit all your blogs. Hope you will understand.

This week our sponsor is

who are donating 6 promarkers for the winner.

Thank you all for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated. Have a great weekend and looking forward to seeing your creations.

Love,

Jo.

Resist Technique Challenge and Tutorial on CRAFT Challenge this week.

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know, and remind those who had nearly forgotten, that at CRAFT Challenge this week we have a lovely challenge to use the resist technique. It comes with its very own tutorial by our very own Eileen, aka Eiglas, which is very easy to follow. This time of year seems to be the right kind of time to try something new and if you haven't tried this technique yet, it is real fun to do and gives a really lovely effect. So please come and join us at CRAFT Challenge this week, there are some lovely digistamps up for grabs for the randomly chosen winner as well from Your Special Delivery.

Looking forward to seeing your creations this week.

Love,

Jo.

Some more digistamps and images loaded onto my sister blog.

Good evening everyone,

I have just uploaded another digistamp with 3D decoupagesheet and background I have created earlier on my sister blog Trimgym's digistamps and images. From this new blog you are able to download my digital stamps, images and backgrounds for free. The images I have uploaded to this blog and the ones to follow are my own creations, sometimes using images found elsewhere as an example for my own drawings.

I hope you like them and please use them for your personal use only, do not claim them as your own, leave my signature on and if you want to share these images with friends, please direct them to my blog.

Have a good weekend everyone, I will be uploading some more images again at a later date.

Love,

Jo.

CRAFT Challenge 32, Resist Technique.

Morning everyone, time for the first CRAFT Challenge challenge of 2010, our 33rd weekand 32nd challenge. This week we want you to try a special technique in your card. I must admit I found it quite tricky, but I'm not really one for waiting patiently to let ink dry. The easiest way for me seemed to be with using brush markers rather than ink pads, less messy as well.

Well, here is my contribution for this week, a birthday card for my sister, who celebrates her birthday on Saturday. Hope she has a fabulous day.

The sketch I have used is from this week's Allsorts Challenge, I liked it and thought I would kill two birds with one stone (not the one in the image LOL) so to speak. This card is therefore also entered in the Allsorts Challenge.

Thank you for looking, hope you will join us at CRAFT Challenge again this week and have a great weekend.

Our sponsor this week is Your special delivery.

All comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.

I've created a new blog for my digistamps and images.

Evening everyone,

I have just created a separate blog for my digistamps and images, Trimgym's digistamps and images, where I will be posting these whenever I've created some new ones. I have so far uploaded one of my digistamps there, which is free to download for personal use. I thought it might be easier for any of my friends and followers who like my images to find them in a central place.

Do feel free to have a look, all comments are very welcome and much appreciated. Special thanks should go to Angela of Toucan Scraps, who advised me on some copyright issues. This has led to me deciding to try and create my own images and without her advice on this I would probably never have tried to create them as I've always felt I'm no good at drawing. I'm now quite proud of what I have created.

Thank you all for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated. You can also find a link in my sidebanner.
