New Challenge card and new digistamp.

Afternoon all,

I saw a challenge on this morning that was asking to involve a turkey. I had already been thinking of creating a bit of another digistamp involving a turkey wearing a Santa hat with a bag of pressies next to him and a sentiment underneath of 'Don't eat me, or there won't be any presents for Christmas.

Well, I did it and I'm quite pleased with it. I have so far printed off 6 copies of him and coloured 2. Only one has been used in a card so far and this card uses the sketch from Mojo Monday Challenge . It's going to be entered into that one as well as in the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge for this week. Thanks guys for giving me the incentive to create this digistamp now.

It is also going into the challenge at Papertake Weekly, who want us to use a digistamp. I hope you allow me to use one of my own creations for that.

Well, with no further ado, I hope you do like the card. The lighting is not very good this time of day or with this kind of weather (rather dull and cloudy here), but I guess it will give you a bit of an idea. You can find my digistamp on my sister blog 'Trimgym's digistamps and images, here, feel free to use it for your own personal use if you like, but please do keep my signature on it. Thank you.

Hope you like it. Have fun and looking forward to seeing what you'll do with TurkeySanta.

All comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.

Last minute challenge card.

Evening all.

I'm a bit late, I wanted to make a card for this week's Crafty Pad Challenge, but so far did not have much time to do so. Unfortunately had to leave it till after tea, but here it is.

I quite like it. It is using one of Debbie's gorgeous stamps and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out for a 'quickie'. Hope you like it too.

It has also been entered in Cupcake Challenge, Fabs Big Christmas Cards Challenge and Whimsy Stamps Challenge.

Thank you all for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Brother-in-law's birthday card and a few challenges.

Good afternoon all,

A nice wet Saturday over here, cold and windy. Just back from taking youngest to birthday party.

This morning I finished a birthday card for my brother-in-law, who lives in America. He is a manager in a large company and has very little time for hobbies. It is therefore difficult to find something to suit his interests.

This year, I created a digistamp especially with him in mind. I hope you like it.

Feel free to use the stamp if you like it, but please only use for personal use and leave the signature on when you use it.

And here are some more images of the card. The image has been coloured in using watercolour pencils.

The used background papers are from Funky Fairies I believe and the other one is my own one, scanned autumnleaves.

In case you are wondering, the white rectangles on the cards are the name plates. I have removed the name of my brother in law from it for privacy reasons. You could use this space to put the name of the intended birthday person as well.

I hope you like it (and most of all my brother in law does).

This card will also be entered in the following challenges:

1. Stamp Something, Sketch Something. I have used there sketch and adapted it a bit to fit better with the shape of the card and the image.

2. A Spoonfull of Sugarchallenge 77, Create a Scene. I believe my digistamp fits that bill well enough.

3. SPCC, there colourcombo this week is melon mambo, basic black, yoyo yellow and not quite navy. You should be able to find these colours somewhere in either the background papers or on the coloured in stamp.

4. Pile it on Challenge 23, Fall Challenge. For this challenge you needed to use one or more leaves. I have used autumnleaves scanned in to create the backing paper.

and

5. Trimcraft Challenge 37, Lots of Dots. The backing paper is quite dotty I believe.

I knew there was one missing...

Last but certainly not least, I also want to enter this one in Whimsy Stamps Challenge 27, watercolors. This one asks us to use watercolours in our card. I used watercolour pencils to colour in my digistamp. Sorry ladies, haven't got any Whimsy Stamps yet. May be in with winning some at some stage maybe?

Thank you all for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.

CRAFT Challenge 25, a recipe.

Thursday again!

That means it's time for another challenge at CRAFT Challenge. This week the challenge is to use 1 tag, 1 ribbon and 1 sentiment in your project.

Our sponsor this week is Donnas Den banner.

The prize for this week is shown here:

challenge25 challenge25 challenge25

I'm sure you'll agree it is well worth a try at taking part in our challenge and possibly win this gorgeous prize.

Over now to my project for this week. Although it is a fairly simple card, I'm very proud of it. I am not much good at drawing, but I still managed to draw a TigerSanta having my daughter Tigerlover and my mum-in-law in mind while drawing it. They are both mad about tigers.

I used this image already for an earlier card, but for the current card I have made this into a 3D decoupage image. So here are some further pictures of it. Hope you like it.

Here is the decoupage image I used. Hope you like it.

It has also been entered in Creative Inspirations Challenge (TigerSanta is a coloured in doodle made into a decoupage image), Cupcake Challenge, Fabs Big Christmas Cards Challenge and Whimsy Stamps Challenge.

Thank you all for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated. Looking forward to seeing your interpretation of this challenge.

Have a good weekend!

Love,

Jo.

Thanks Lynne, another award received.

Hello again everyone,

I have just received another lovely award from Lynne. Thank you sooo very much! It's much appreciated.

The following rules exist in accepting this Award. They are that you must give five things away about yourself (which you haven't already told) and then choose five more worthy recipients!
Right! Five things that I haven't already told you about me?

1. I played Father Lorenzo in our High School version of Romeo and Juliet.

2. I love baking and obviously card making.

3. I once managed to drive home safely through a heavy storm. Then, when looking out of the window found a tree lying on top of my car, oops!

4. I love pets, but haven't got any at the moment.

5. I have just tried my hand at designing some digistamps, now got a little bit of a taste for it, although my drawing isn't very good.

So, I will pass on this award to the following 5 people:

1. Trish

2. Debs

3. Greebs

4. my good friend Rozzy and last but not least

5. the very talented Lexi.

Pass it on with pride, you all really deserve it.

Love,

Jo.

Award time again.

Another award to be shared with some of you lovely crafters out there. another one that has been on hold for a long time as I received it early June from the lovely Suzi aka Sugar n Spice. Thank you, Suzi! Much appreciated.

This award has to be passed on to another five deserving bloggers who show great attitude and gratitude.

So, I will have to have a little think now again. What I will do is to award this one to the first 5 entrants to this week's CRAFT Challenge.

The bloggers I would therefore like to pass this award on to are:

1. Irit Cohen
2. Stacie
3. Jill
4. Marianne and last but not least
5. Gosia

Hope you are all well.

Love,

Jo.

Further award to share!

Back again with another award that was still waiting to be shared. This one I have been given by the lovely Cathy at the end of May.

The rules for this award are:

to thank the person for the award and
pass it on to at least 7 people who deserve it
and then list 10 honest things about myself

Cathy, thank you very much for the award. I have so far not had a chance to do anything about this one, my apologies.

As inspiration for this award, I'm using the list of people entering this week's challenge at CRAFT Challenge as well as some from last week. The people I would like to pass this award on to are:

1. Queenie, she has some absolutely gorgeous creations on her blog, do have a look.
2. Debbie, she has some fab stamps she designs herself at The Crafty Pad (she is also one of our sponsors at Craft Challenge.
3. Victoria aka Biscuitlid
4. Jill
5. Angela aka Toucan Scraps
6. Ann, who very kindly remarked on my Ben10 3D images and alerted me to the fact that Ben10 would not enlarge (now fixed and you can find it here). However do keep in mind these are not my own images, I have just made them into step-by-step 3D images after downloading some freebies from the official Ben10 site.
7. Kerstin aka Chaosmaus

And here are 10 honest things about myself:

1. I'm a 45 year young girl.
2. I have 3 great sons and 1 fabulous daughter, who are all equally special and important to me.
3. I love card making, but really have far too little time for it. (don't we all? LOL)
4. I'm happily married with a great guy. (have been for just over 10 years and he is a doting dad to our 4 kids)
5. I work part time 3 days a week, but do nearly full time hours within those days.
6. We all 6 enjoy karate lessons.
7. My daughter also loves cardmaking and we are both part of the DT at CRAFT Challenge.
8. I'm Dutch
9. but live in the UK.
10. I use my cardmaking and crafting for stress relief and fun.

Well, that was a big job.

Love,

Jo.
