Card for Karen's Doodles UK challenge, a recipe.

Back again. This time with a card for the UK Karen's Doodles Challenge Blog. They have a recipe for us this week. 1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellishments. The image as usual needs to be one of Karen's Doodles. I have chosen this freebie Christmas image from her, which means I have another Christmas card sorted for this year. I guess the 2 papers are quite obvious, the embellishments are 2 stars and a laser cut paper trim.

Hope you like it.

Thanks for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

5th Challenge at Karen's Doodles NL Challenge blog.

Afternoon everyone,

Here is a card I made this afternoon for the Dutch Karen's Doodles Challenge blog, hope you like it. This week there was a sketch to follow. I hope I just made it in time this week. I absolutely love Karen's Doodles and therefore would like to be in with a chance of winning one or more of her gorgeous doodles. This is a freebie she did for Christmas last year. Hope you like it.

Hope you like my interpretation of the sketch, another Christmas card done for me for this year. Another 150 or so to go. The papers are all freebies from Funky Fairies, Sparky's Scratches and others.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.
And for my Dutch fellow bloggers, leuk dat jullie weer langs komen, hoop jullie volgende week weer te zien bij jullie volgende challenge.

Love,

Jo.

Rozzy's sketch at Trimcraft/Card for Karen's Doodles US Challenge 5.

Evening all,

Hope everyone is well. Tonight I have made a card for a challenge at Trimcraft, which is open to Trimcraft members only. Our fellow trimmie Rozzy, has given us a lovely sketch to work with.

For this card, which is another one for Christmas done, I used a lovely image from Karen's Doodles, which I won in the UK Karen's Doodles Challenge 2 weeks ago. It is a new image I have had for the last 2 weeks. I have painted it, then scanned it and then adapted it to a 3D image. The papers are some that I have had for quite some time now, some for a few years, the others for about a year or so. Hope you like it.

And here is the adapted 3D image, as this is using an original Karen's Doodles, I am afraid I can only show you a watermarked version. Hope you like it.

I will also be entering this card into the Karen's Doodles US Challenge this week. Hope you like it.

All comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Have a great week!

Love,

Jo.

CRAFT Challenge DT card, Buttons

Dear all,

Today it's time for another CRAFT Challenge again, this week our challenge is to create something using buttons. Hope you like the card I've created for my youngest niece. For this card I have used an image from our very own Claire, aka Hope Jacare, who is also our sponsor this week. And, quite appropriate, she is donating a collection of buttons for the winner.

I have paperpieced the image and added buttons for eyes and bellybutton. Hope you like it.

And here is what you could win this week:

a lovely collection of buttons.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated. Looking forward to seeing all your lovely creations again this week.

Jo.

Card for 4th challenge Scandinavian Karen's Doodles Challenge blog.

Evening all,

This is the first time I'm taking part in a challenge at the Scandinavian Karen's Doodles Challenge Blog. So far I have limited myself to the Dutch and the UK leg of the challenge. This as I live in the UK, but am Dutch of birth and nationality. Due to some connectivity problems tonight, I have unfortunately missed the Dutch challenge, however there has been the same challenge over all 4 blogs, so I'm putting this card in for the Scandinavian challenge instead. Hope you like it.

It's a birthday card using a free image from Karen's Doodles, coloured with paints and using some free papers from several sources amongst which Funky Fairies.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

4th Challenge at Karen's Doodles UK blog

Evening all,

Just missed out on the 4th challenge on the Dutch challenge blog. Had hoped to take part again. So, will have to put my entry through to the Scandinavian instead I guess as that one closes tomorrow as well as this one. Made a card for both challenges, but unfortunately my internet connection was letting me down tonight.

So, here is my entry for the UK leg of the Karen's Doodles challenge blog. Hope you like it. It's been the same challenge over all 4 blogs this week, an inspiration picture and I have picked the colours from it (pink and green) like most of the DT's as well I guess. For this card I have used a freebie from Karen's Doodles and some free papers I've collected from several blogs in the past. As they were already printed some time ago, I'm not quite sure where they are from, although I do recognise some Funky Fairies papers amongst them.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Jo.

CRAFT Challenge 44, purple and turquoise.

Morning all,

It's another early Thursday morning and that means time for another challenge at CRAFT Challenge.
This week our brief is a colour challenge, purple and turquoise. Not a colour combo I use a lot.

Our sponsor this week is Donna's Den.

For this card I have used an image from Phindy, a freebie on her PCP group. The papers are from several other free digital kits, amongst which Funky Fairies, Summertime Designs and others. As I have had them lying around for a little bit I'm not quite sure which one they are from exactly and it would take a bit of a long time to find them all again. But if you have a look at my side banner you will find a link to the blogs I follow, many of which are links to freebies.

I hope you will like my card and hope it will give you some inspiration to join us again at CRAFT Challenge this week. Last week was a big success again and I should apologise for not having visited all entries, I'm afraid other things have just taken over in the last week and I've even had difficulty finding time to craft. My son asking me to make a card for a friend who is returning to Canada over the Easter holidays last night (so due this morning!) did not help much either. I'll try harder this week I promise.

So here is my card.

Thanks for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Just amending this post, I totally forgot to let you know that our sponsor this week is one of our regulars, Donna's Den of Crafts  and she is donating some lovely stamps this week from Joanna Sheen.

Card for 3rd UK Karen's Doodles Challenge.

Evening all,

Here is a last minute card for Karen's Doodles UK challenge. I was lucky enough to win 3rd place last week and have been able to choose one of her gorgeous images as a prize. Wow, I'm just so pleased with that. I have chosen a Christmas image, but for this card (this challenge is a sketch challenge) I have used her newest freebie 'Girl With Flowers'. Hope you like it. I have again used freebie digital papers from a collection of free blogs. The image has been coloured with paints.

I'm Guest Designer for One Stitch At A Time this week!

Hello everyone.

I have some lovely news to share with you this week. I was lovely enough to be drawn as the overall winner for One Stitch At A Time a few weeks ago and this came with 3 great prizes:

1. GDT for 1 week for One Stitch At A Time.

2. Choice of a digistamp from the Stitchy Bear Shop to use on the project for the GDT project. I have chosen Easter Lillie with Tulips from Lexi's Doodles.

3. 5 digistamps of choice from Sew Many Cards, who were that week's sponsor.

So, time to get down to this week's challenge at One Stitch At A Time. This week the brief is to make a project for Easter, a lot of challenges have this brief at the moment it seems. I just did one for CRAFT Challenge this week as well.

Here is my card. As said, the digistamp is from Lexi's Doodles. The papers are freebies from Alexe's Creationz, BlueVelvet DeZigns and With A Russian Dutch Heart. Hope you like it.

CRAFT Challenge 43, Easter

Thursday morning and another challenge at CRAFT Challenge again. Hope you will join us again this week.

This is something I don't do much of, making Easter cards, but that is the challenge this week. To make something with the theme 'Easter', very topical obviously at this time of year. Easter is only a few days away.

This week our sponsor is Craft Obsessions and they are donating 6 promarkers of your choice for the randomly chosen winner. So, get those entries in, who doesn't want to be in with a chance of winning that? I certainly would be (especially as I have none so far).

So, over to my card for this week. For this card I have used a freebie digistamp from Karen's Doodles, from her PCP group. It is called Easter Puppy and I think it is really cute. The papers are also digital freebies from BlueVelvet DeZigns, With A Russian Dutch Heart and Alexe's Creationz. Hope you like it. The sketch is from a sketch challenge over on Trimcraft set by our fellow trimmie Rozzy, thanks Rozzy.

The great news is that Karen's Doodles NL challenge blog is also running an Easter card challenge this week. This card will therefore also be entered into their challenge this week again as well. Leuk, dat jullie weer langs komen meiden! Alle reakties zijn zeer gewaardeerd.

Thanks for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated. Looking forward to seeing your interpretations of this challenge.

Love,

Jo.
