Card for Karen's Doodles UK Challenge

Evening all,

Here is a card I have made for Karen's Doodles UK Challenge using Easter Puppy from Karen's Doodles. Hope you like it. Although I don't really tend to do Easter cards as a rule, I really enjoyed making it. The sketch is from a fellow trimmie Rozzy for her sketch challenge over at Trimcraft. The papers I used are from Alexe's Creationz, With a Russian Dutch Heart and BlueVelvet DeZigns.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.

Card for second challenge at Dutch Karen's Doodles Challenge blog

Morning everyone,

A little last minute, but here is my card for the second challenge at the Dutch version of the Karen's Doodles Challenge blog. This week their challenge was 'Bling en Glamour' with of course one of the Karen's Doodles images used. I didn't have a lot of time over the last week, but here is my card for this challenge in the hope that I might be one of the winners of some of Karen's gorgeous Doodles.

For this card I have used 'Flower Bear'. And papers from Sparky's Scratches. Hope you like it. The sketch I used has been loosely adapted from one provided by my fellow trimmie Rozzy for her sketch challenge at Trimcraft.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

En voor mijn Nederlandse blog bezoekers: Leuk dat jullie weer langs komen, alle reacties zijn zeer gewaardeerd! Ik kijk al uit naar jullie volgende uitdaging!

Love,

Jo.

CRAFT Challenge 42, Nursery Rhymes

Morning all,

This week at CRAFT Challenge we have a very special challenge for you. This week's sponsor is Your Special Delivery and Gina has given us her latest digistamp to work with. It is depicting several nursery rhymes and we felt it would be ideal to therefore make this challenge 'Nursery Rhymes'.

For this card I used the said digistamp, which I coloured with waterpaint. I had to doublecheck what the colours and their order in the rainbow are with my eldest to make it as true to life as possible. I then searched for the text of some of the rhymes I could recognise on the web and added those to a nursery rhyme background I found. The other backing papers are actually misprints from a paperpack from Sparky's Scratches, a Christmas freebie tartan in red and green, but due to ink running low on the cartridge came out in these gorgeous colours instead. I have scanned this one for future use, you can't look a given horse in the mouth now, can you?

I then added some extra details from the recipe challenge at One Stitch At A Time: 1 ribbon, 2 backing papers, 2 brads or eyelets. 1 of the brads used has gone through the ribbon to hold it into a bow shape.

On the inside of the card I repeated the backing paper from the front. I edited this in Corel Photopaint to add the lyrics of the nursery rhymes again as well as a birthday message for my youngest nephew. This is a very early birthday card for him as he does not have his birthday till November!

As I used the recipe from One Stitch At A Time, I will also be entering into their challenge this week. Who knows, I might just like this week, win again and be in with a GDT spot. I'm really feeling very honoured with that.

Also entered into Charisma Cardz Challenge: kids

Last minute challenge card for Karen's Doodles Dutch Challenge Blog.

Evening everyone,

Hope you are all well. I really wanted to try and take part in the first challenge at Karen's Doodles Dutch Challenge Blog. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time these days, so it was a bit of a struggle to find time. But, I did manage. The first challenge is asking us to follow a sketch, and a lovely one at that. I have had to rotate it a little to accomodate this image from Karen's Doodles, a freebie I got from her SNR or PCP group. A lovely one I'm sure you'll agree. It's called Digsby Juggling and I have coloured it with paints. Hope you like it.

So here are a few views of the card.

I'm also entering this card into the challenge at Inky Impressions, Think Green.

and Stamping For The Weekend, monochromatic.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated. Have a good week everyone, and to my Dutch fellow crafters at Karen's Doodles: Leuk dat jullie langs komen, ik kijk al uit naar jullie volgende challenge.

Love,

Jo.
