CRAFT Challenge 49, Cake-Wedding/Anniversary.

Thursday again, the first one of May this year. This week at CRAFT Challenge our brief to you is to create a project with the subject Cake-Wedding/Anniversary.

My card this week is an Anniversary card for my in-laws, who will be celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary later this year. Hope you like it.

For this card I have used an image from Karen's Doodles and papers from the Deborah's Wedding range from our sponsor this week, Angela aka Toucan Scraps. She is donating a product of your choice from her shop at 3 scrapateers for the winner. Certainly worth taking part for as she has some gorgeous kits for sale there.

So, here is my card. Hope you like it.

And some close-ups:

Some views of the inside of the card:

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated. Hope to see you all join us again.

Also an apology to all those that took part over the last week and I have not been able to visit due to being struck down with a tummybug over the last week. I have also had some problems with my internet connection over the last few days as well. Hope it will be easier this week.

Have a good weekend all!

Love,

Jo.

Challenge 48 at CRAFT Challenge, shaped card, our sponsor The Craft Pad.

Hello again,

Here is my DT card for this week's challenge at CRAFT Challenge. Our brief for you this week is to create a shaped card. Our sponsor this week is The Crafty Pad. Debbie is a very talented stamp designer and it is well worth having a look at her shop as she has some great clear and digistamps.

Well, here is my card for this week. I made it last weekend when I remembered it was to be a shaped card. I just forgot The Crafty Pad was sponsoring, or I would have used one of her gorgeous stamps. This one is by Sliekje, who has a blog full of gorgeous free digistamps.

Hope you like it, do come and join us again this week, we love to see your creations.

All comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.

Card for Designed2Delight

Hello everyone,

I wasn't expecting to have a chance in the daytime today to sort this post out. I usually work on a Wednesday. Unfortunately however I started to feel unwell yesterday with a tummybug. Bad news is I'm still not feeling right and have been running backwards and forwards to the toilet all day with bowelcramps, good news is that I've got the day off now.

This weekend I've made a card for Delightful Inspiration. A great challenge blog, where everyone who takes part is a winner. The first week of the month a free image is provided for the challenge, every week you take part in it, you get another digistamp for the next week. If you've missed out on a week and want to take part, you can also buy the stamp for the challenge at Designed2Delight.

Welll here is my card for this week. The image is by Designed2Delight as mentioned before, the papers are by Always Be Neighbors Designs Morning Solitude (the wall with flowers) and the other papers are from the new 'Worn Well' kit by Toucan Scraps.

Hope you like it, thank you for looking and all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Love,

Jo.

A lovely crafting Sunday!

Evening all,

I have had a lovely crafty afternoon. Finally managed to get some time for crafting this afternoon, but must admit I felt a little bit guilty I did not do some other work that needed doing as well. However, as I do have a job to go on 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday), any crafting needs to be cramped into the other 3 as well as any of the housework and homework I bring home from work.

Today I have managed to make 5 cards.

Most importantly my DT card for CRAFT Challenge on Thursday, sorry, you'll have to wait for that one.
Then one for Karen's Doodles US, which I'll show in this post, the third is for Karen's Doodles NL, the fourth for Karen's Doodles UK and last but not least one for Designs2Delight.

So, back to the first one to show today.

Here is my entry for the US Karen's Doodles Challenge. Hope you like it.

For this card I have used the recipe on the US challenge blog: 1 ribbon, 2 patterned papers, 3 brads and a border. As you can see from the last pictures, I nearly forgot the border.
The image is 'Bigsby Balloons' by Karen's Doodles.
The papers are from Toucan Scraps, her lovely new 'Worn Well' range, you can find her shop here.

Hope you like it. Thank you for looking and all comments are very welcome and much appreciated.

Jo.

CRAFT Challenge 47, brown and pink.

Morning everyone,

Another Thursday morning, another challenge at CRAFT Challenge. This week our brief is to make a project using the colours brown and pink.

For this card, I have used an image from our sponsor Stitchy Bear. I have used the image Lou from Cowgirl Up Stamps. The papers used are from the very latest range of new papers by Angela aka Toucan Scraps, at the time of making this card they weren't even named yet, they were not even released officialy yet. Now this lovely range is known as 'Worn Well'.

And here is the card using these gorgeous new papers both inside and out. At the time they were used they were simply known as the 'Grungy' range and I have used paper from the Dark, Light and Patterned papers. The inside of the card I have decorated with the note papers. I've added some Smirk ribbons and a few flower gems. Hope you like the card.

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated. You will now be able to find these 'Worn Well' papers in Angela's aka Toucan Scraps' shop if you are interested.

Have a good weekend. Can't wait to start playing with some more of her papers!

Love,

Jo.

Last card for today, challenge card for Delightful Insipiration.

And here is the last card done today using a free image from Designs2Delight, you can find the shop here, and papers from the Dawn Papers, Di-der Minikit and Love Papers from Toucan Scraps. Hope you like what I have done with the image and papers. The star gems have also made this into a Touchy Feely card in line with the current challenge at Cute Card Thursday.

Thank you all for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated.

Card for UK Karen's Doodles Challenge.

Here is another card I made today, this one is following the Karen's Doodles UK Challenge brief of 'something with wings. As you can see the papers I have used, which are from Always Be Neighbors Designs, Morning Solitude papers and on the inside decorated with papers from the Love range from Toucan Scraps, are showing some birds. Except for that I have also added some butterfly gems, so the wings are well covered I think. Due to adding the gems, I feel that the card has become Touchy Feely as well in line with the Cute Card Thursday challenge this week.

Hope you like this card as well, the image is Bigsby Juggling from Karen's Doodles.

Card for Dutch Karen's Doodles Challenge.

Good evening,

Another day filled with fun things like ironing (not), washing (not) and crafting (YES!). It's back to school tomorrow for the kids and back to work again for me. So, today was the last bit of guaranteed time for crafting till the weekend again. May have a bit of time in between work, schoolruns and the like, but not much I'm sure.

Here is a card I made for the Dutch Karen's Doodles Blog using papers by Toucan Scraps ( From Dawn Papers, Love and Victorian Parlour range). Hope you like it. The image is Bigsby Juggling from Karen's Doodles printed on some of these papers and then cut and paper pieced. It has been glued into place using silicone glue to give it just that little bit more of dimension. The challenge this week is paper piecing, so I think I've done that. I've also added a flower and gem, which makes the card quite Touchy Feely as well and therefore fulfills the criteria to be entered into this week's Cute Card Thursday as well.

So, here are some views from the front and the inside of the card. Decorating the isnside of the card just makes it look that little more finished, don't you think?

Thank you for looking, all comments very welcome and much appreciated and for my Dutch fellow crafters who might visit my blog: Leuk dat jullie langs komen en ik hoop jullie gauw weer te zien!

Love,

Jo.
